A Meaningful Journey! It was awesome to catch up with Jukka Schotter, he’s a mature 20 year old who’s seen many parts of the world, played hockey in 3 different countries and just finished hiking all 900KM’s of the Bruce Trail from Niagara Falls to Tobermory in 25 days. In January 2021 Jukka’s mother Gabi lost her fight with Cancer, she was an energetic, athletic and inspiring women. Jukka decided to begin Cardinal Strong in her honour and embarked on his first big challenge, walking the Bruce Trail. In doing so he raised over $52,000 dollars for the Baker Centre for Pancreatic Cancer at the London Health Sciences Centre. Jukka and I talk about his 25 day walk, his preparation, the physical and mental demands of walking 8-10 hours daily and how the walk has impacted his life. We also chat some hockey, the concept of team and being a good teammate. This was a fun conversation with an awesome young man. We hope you enjoy the episode!
