Hockey Bloodlines! It was a lot of fun to catch up with Griffin Luce and chat about his hockey journey. With a father who’s been a professional scout in the NHL for years, currently Scott is with the Vegas Golden Knights and a grandfather, Don Luce who played over 890 NHL games, Griffin has been around the game his entire life. Griffin has always been a motivated young man who was never afraid to put the work in to achieve his goal of playing at a higher level. Now in his first year of professional hockey, Griffin put his work boots on and started the season in the ECHL with the Rapid City Rush, eventually through his performance and opportunity, he was called up to the AHL’s Rochester American’s bringing him one step closer to his dream of playing in the NHL. Griffin is an honest player and person and understands what style of player and how he needs to play to have success, he shares some great insight for young players on how to find and embrace your role as a player. Griffin talks about moving away from home, the importance of having a strong support group and how he worked his way through prep school hockey, to the US National Program, on to Michigan University and now playing professionally. This was a ton of fun, Griffin was a great guest with some awesome advice on the game. We hope you enjoy the episode!
