On the Move! Wade Russell joins Behind the Gear from Fredericton, New Brunswick where he’s attending teachers college, finishing up his masters, working with minor hockey groups and helping out with the U Sport UNB Reds hockey team. Wade shares his hockey journey from minor hockey to Jr and how he realized that coaching and teaching players is where his passion lies. Wade is a student of the game and always brings a ton of knowledge in the areas of age appropriate training, whats trending in hockey and how to connect with players of all ages and skill levels. Wade has had the opportunity to work with the London Knights (OHL), Western Mustangs (U Sport) and now UNB, he dives into what makes teams/organizations successful, how teams build strong cultures and how coaches have success.
