Description
Drill 1 – 2-1 Out of Corner: D starts on the dot, 2 F’s start in corner, D skates backward to corner to pick up puck then passes to F at top cone and come up and transitions for 2-1. 2 F’s skate up around top cone and receive pass from D, then attack D on 2-1. Switch sides.
Drill 2 – 2-1 – F’s begin on dots, F with puck and above cone drops puck for F who swings below cone. D starts beside the net and skates up ice, transitions and takes F’s back on 2-1.
Drill 3 – 2-2 or 3-3: Coach dumps buck in the zone and players play 2-2 or 3-3 down low trying to make plays and pass puck to their teammates. Can flip net down to make goal smaller to score on.
